Crossmembers: There are two different 1962-1965 B-body crossmembers, one for a A-833 four speed, and one for an automatic (A-727 and A-904) and three speeds (A-903 and A-745).
Crossmembers: Like the earlier B-bodies, there are two crossmembers, one for a A-833 four speed, and one for an automatic (A-727 and A-904) and three speeds (A-903 and A-745). Sometime about 1970, the four speed tailhousing was revised to move the mount provision forward to allow B-bodies to have a single crossmember for both four speeds and automatics.
Crossmembers: An automatic crossmember and a four speed crossmember are nearly identical. The exception might be a 1963 unit, but that has not been verified. Different part numbers were used that seemed to make a distinction between automatic and four speed units, but, in practice, it has been learned that these are interchangable.
